Corelex has been created to enhance user browsing time and engagement on webshop sites. But not everyone wants the same behavior of a chat window. And so, you may configure Corelex’ behavior:
- If you would like to pop-up the chat window automatically, at what moment this happens
- How you want the behavior on mobile devices
- If you would like to use Corelex chat as your product search tool
Auto open chat on page layout #
There are 4 options:
- Disable: The chat button is displayed, but it’s never automatically popping up
- All devices: The chat window pops-up automatically, both on desktop and on mobile
- Desktop only: The chat window pops-up automatically on desktop, but not on mobile
- Mobile only: The chat window pops-up automatically on mobile, but not on desktop
Open after visiting N pages (in session) #
This option is linked with the ‘auto-open’ functionality here above, as this defines after how many pages visited the pop-up happens. Setting this to 1 will pop-up the chat window on the 1st page visited, setting to – for instance – 3 will pop-up the chat window on the 3rd page visited
Show tooltip bubble on page load #
While it is an option, it is often not wanted to automatically pop-up the full what window on mobile devices. Therefor we have created a tooltip bubble, which is typically used on mobile devices, but can also be used on desktop.
Here also 4 options:
- Disable: The tooltip is never used
- All devices: The tooltip is used on all form-factors
- Desktop only: The tooltip is only used on desktop
- Mobile only: The tooltip is only used on mobile
Auto-open chat window – desktop only
Show a featured product tip when the chat opens #
Given the intention of Corelex to lengthen user sessions on websites, and when using featured products in your webshop, this functionality randomly shows one featured product when the chat window automatically opens.
The idea being: “Hey, we see you’re surfing our website, and perhaps this is an interesting product for you”
Show a featured product tip when the chat opens & Feature product tip text field
- When you have defined featured products in your webshop, you may display one of the featured products automatically in the chat window
- If there are multiple featured products, they will be randomly displayed to different website visitors
- If you leave the Featured product tip text empty, there will be no text displayed above the featured product. If you do provide text in the Featured product tip text field, then this text will be displayed above the featured product in the chat window
Replace WooCommerce search with Corelex chat #
Enabling this feature will automatically redirect and open the Corelex chat window when webshop visitors use the product search functionality in your webshop. Instead of searching by category or by typing one product name, people may simply start a conversation in Corelex to find the product of their interest. Going from ‘racebike’ to ‘I search a comfortable race bike between €2000 and €3000’
